Spotlight on Louisiana Rapper, Millione Mills
Millione Mills, the Louisiana-born rapper, defies the odds and stands tall as an emerging star in the music industry.
Born Antoine Mills, in New Orleans,Louisiana Millione later moved to Slidell, Louisiana, and grew up in the gritty projects of where drugs, crime, and violence were rampant. Despite his upbringing, Millione found solace in music and began writing and recording his first tracks in 2007. Having carved out his own unique sound with a blend of melodic hooks and hard-hitting verses, Millione's music showcases his raw talent and unwavering determination to succeed. His musical influences range from industry heavyweights such as Jay Z and 2Pac to modern-day legends like Drake and J. Cole. But Millione's journey to success has been far from easy. At the tender age of 14, he fell into the clutches of his city’s underbelly and started selling drugs, under the wing of a neighborhood drug dealer. This led him down a dangerous path that culminated in a life-altering incident in 2007, where he was shot seven times during an attempted robbery.. He was later incarcerated and served 12 years. But even in prison, Millione never lost sight of his goal, spending countless hours writing and perfecting his craft. Now that he's turned his life around, Millione Mills is back, and he's more determined than ever to take the music industry by storm. Under the management of Ronald Beaulieu & Andre Charlot, Mills has worked with some of the most talented producers in the game, including bradondatrack, DJ BlaqNmild and TracBurna. Millione's music is not just about entertaining his fans; it's about inspiring them. His lyrics reflect his journey, his struggles, and his triumphs. Through his music, Millione wants to show the world that, no matter how tough the road may be, with hard work and dedication, anything is possible. Millione Mills is more than just a rapper; he's an inspiration. He's proof that no matter where you come from or what you've been through, your dreams are always within reach. With his unique sound, undeniable talent, and unwavering determination, Millione Mills is poised to make a real impact in the industry and inspire generations to come.

Spotlight on Sleepy Loco as he releases "In Mook We Trust"
In 2022, the Memphis rapper followed up his fifthteen city “No Deal” promotional tour, by dropping Blu Language 2:Out The Blue. This project garnered over a million streams along with over 500,000 listeners just on his Spotify alone. The Lifted Life Ent spokesman expanded his fan base that populated after going bar for bar with featured artists such as Premo Rice “Popcorn Playa”, Starlito “Not Like Mine”, Eddie Valero “Monopoly”, TripStar “Free The Real” along with platinum producers such as Hitkidd and Blame Swagg.
Fast forward to 2023, Loco’s latest release is a EP titled “In Mook We Trust” dedicated to his uncle who inspired him to rap. On this project, unlike the trending music coming out the 901, this project contains the boom bap laced with soulful symphonies and samples. As Loco takes you on a deep journey capturing his thoughts revealing the pain he’s felt over the years. Check out ”Heaviest of Hearts”as he polishes this track over a jazzy feel with his mellow yet thoughtful approach, opening up about fighting depression to losing his uncle Mook early and grandmother to cancer. Although he provides us with pain symphonies, he pushes p on “Spaceships from Memphis” as he exemplifies a better version of himself expressing himself on lines like “I’m me 2.0, new and improved” followed with audio from a scene on The Mack. This is the first song released off this project as fans enjoyed his performance live, as he graced the stage prior to Premo Rice headlining the show. This song also has gained over 2 million views on Facebook alone. The Lifted Life CEO opens up more with lines such as “I can’t feel sh*t I need more affection, mama pray to God I get a spiritual connection” on the track titled “I Cant Feel”. By contrast, the East Memphian is more focused on staying real with himself and less concerned with the wave as he lyrically paints a canvas on tracks such as “Be Myself” and “Always Working”. In addition to the EP, he links with fellow Memphian, Don Trip on “100 Million Dollar Dreams” revealing his loyalty for his brothers and continuing to keep his brother Choppa G name alive, who died tragically in 2022. This project sonically has a different feel from the BLU Language series but gives you a more in depth formal invitation into Sleepy’s world as he transparently taps into another dimension. The year is looking bright for him as he pushes his pen proving he’s one of the best emcees rising out of one of rap music's hottest markets in the world.

Spotlight on Rapper One80
At the age of 9, One80 suffered from child abuse at the hands of his stepfather. The abuse led to One80 ran away from home. Running away, Avery stole a car, hustled and in August of 2003, set fire to an abandoned house. Arson earned him 18 years in prison. Avery served most of it in TDCJ’s Estelle Unit in Huntsville at the age of 17.
While serving his sentence, Avery earned the nickname One80. Then, he picked up plastic spoons and began making beats. Avery’s beats covered by rap lyrics were recorded in prison. Avery sent his cousin his music, which soon became a waiting game for Avery to be released from prison. Avery learned important life lessons such as philosophy, chess and encouraged him to fly straight once he made parole.
After Avery served most of his sentence, within 3 months Avery produced 17 minute a documentary of his life that covers his start in music. Soon afterwards Avery released his music and started selling his music on Amazon.
Not too long afterwards LeAnn Rimes heard his music and invited him to perform in with her at Gruene Hall in Austin.
“For me to be a rapper and be able to perform there, I’ve never seen that many cowboy hats in my life,” Avery said. “You know what, and for them to accept me, this is why I feel like music is so beautiful.”
Dr. Dre called him via FaceTime to talk business, too.
“I was like man, you are Dr. Dre,” Avery said. “This is crazy. This is beyond a dream come true.”
His single, “Miles Away”, has been well received and confirms his start as a artist.

Spotlight on TJ Boyce "Ghetto America"
For the music video, I wanted all of us get a glimpse of what it would feel like if the traditional roles of injustice were reversed, in hopes that this shared experience would revive in each of us a desire to do better individually as well as collectively.
Because I truly believe that if we can acknowledge each other’s pain, journey through it together, and discover the intrinsic value and worth in each of us, that we can all emerge as better people on the other side...of Ghetto America “~ TJ Boyce

Spotlight on Sarah Jane (@daisyjane200)
2016 is shaping up to be a promising year for up-and-coming artist, Sarah Jane. For the last two-and-a-half years she’s been working diligently on her debut EP titled “Killer Robots.”
“I’ve been working out of three studios. It’s been an amazing process,” she stated. “I’m so proud of all the work that we’ve put into it. We’ve put in a lot of long, long nights, but I feel all the hard work is going to pay off.”
The upcoming EP is scheduled for a possible summer/fall release. According to rising star in the making, it promises not to disappoint. Fans will be easily captivated by it after listening to the first few bars, Jane, who is also an accomplished pianist, stated.
“The EP is really open, fun, imaginative. I really wanted to leave it up to the fans to decipher what kind of music they think it is. It’s really fun because it starts off light, then it gets more R&B and hip hop towards the third and fourth song,” she described. “It really showcases my talent, not just as a singer but as a pianist, too.”
The first single off the project is a catchy tune titled “Beautiful Magic.” It’s one of her favorite songs from the project.
“It’s about finding love and finding someone who makes you feel beautiful. The beats more urban and pop,” Jane explained.
Not surprisingly, the title track from the EP, “Killer Robots,” raises a few eyebrows. Many are amused by it—obviously due to the unique title, but then quickly fall in love with the beat and lyrics.
“I really wanted to have a story that is pretty and melodic but also had some humor. It’s very simple, but it’s fun to sing a lot,” she stated. “It’s cool to see the reaction of people in the studio when they listen to it. Then start laughing. It’s just me and this song and the piano—and then, of course, me talking about killer robots,” she laughed.
The EP will soon be featured on iTunes. For updates and to learn more about Jane, check her out on Twitter.

Who is Cross
![]() |
Born in June 5th, 1990 Davion Deshawn Cross was the seventh of eight children and unlike many others, at the beginning had a stable structure. In a two-parent household this young black man had, what may sound crazy, a step up on the area he would be raised. He would be able to see a man support his family as oppose to seeing his mother struggle to raise him and his siblings alone.
That so called step up would all change one day coming home from church. The family would find a letter from their father revealing he had left them to fend for themselves. Unknowing to Davion that’s the day he became Cross.
The strength he would see in his mother, the loyalty from his brothers, the love and the protection he had for his little sister would eventually prove to make him the man he would eventually become. There still would be growing pains.

[Artist Spotlight] YT Triz of Poe Boy Music Group
YT: I'm a young and hungry nigga out of Central Florida just trying to do something right with my life and I happen to be good at writing and telling real stories. I'm trying to leave my legacy in the music industry.
2) Many people might think you're just getting started, let us know exactly how this movement came to happen?
YT: I started rapping for fun when I was 10; I'm 22 now, rapping in a different place for different reasons.
3) How did you catch Hip Hop Boss, Big Chuck's attention?
YT: I met Big Chuck at Poe Boy's studio in early 2013; I performed for him live, no mic or nothing. I ain't know at the time, but he saw something in me and I got that phone call from Poe Boy later that year saying "Come down and get in the studio."
4) Who was your inspiration?
YT: My mom has always been my inspiration, she always had a lot of faith and belief in God, she let me know that anything is possible through Him. I took that trait and a dream, and ran with it.
5) Besides recording and performing do you do any other things within the music industry?
YT: I'm taking one step at a time, so for now, nothing. Just recording, performing, and learning.
6) Lil Buddy is one of my favorite YT tracks, what is your favorite and why?
YT: I don't have a favorite, but I like "Bad Vibes" and "IDGAF" a lot because they were real stories that I shared with you and people feel me.
7) What are you currently working on and when should we expect to see/hear it?
YT: I'm currently working on a legendary mixtape with Bigga Rankin, to be released Memorial Day 2014.
8) What makes YT stand out among so many other artists trying to make it from INDIE to MAJOR?
YT: What makes me different is that I'm telling my real life stories and giving the people these real life situations that they might be able to identify with versus just rapping about fashion, cars, and money all the time.
9) Do you have any tours/shows coming up?
YT: I just came off of "The Juice Tour"; we took over various high schools throughout central Florida. I'm about to hit the road with Bigga Rankin next.
10) Where do you think YT will be 5 years from now?
YT: 5 years from now I'll be a well-established and well paid artist dominating the music industry for sure. Plus everything that come with that.
11) Are you exactly where you thought you'd be at this point in your career?
YT: I never thought I'd make it anywhere with this music, so I would have to answer NO...I'm further than I ever expected.
12) Any Shoutouts?
YT: Shoutout my Poe Boy family, my big dawg E-Class and Big Chuck. Shoutout to my YTM Family, coming soon and my mama for supporting me from day 1.
13) What will YT be remembered for?
YT: YT will be remembered for speaking up, representing, and telling the stories of the "Have Nots" straight up.
14) Please give us your social network info, booking info, and drops/interview requests email.
YT: @YTTriz on Instagram, @YTriz on Twitter and PoeBoy305@gmail.com for bookings.
